BIOCHEMISTRY
Biochemistry, also known as biological chemistry, is the study of chemical processes in living organisms or molecular level study of an organism. Biochemistry governs all living organisms and living processes. By controlling information flow through biochemical signalling and the flow of chemical energy through metabolism, biochemical processes give rise to the incredible complexity of life.

We must, however, acknowledge, as it seems to me, that man with all his noble qualities . . . still bears in his bodily frame the indelible stamp of his lowly origin.
—Charles Darwin, The Descent of Man, 1871

CHEMICAL ELEMENTS OF LIFE

  • Carbon
  • Hydrogen
  • Nitrogen
  • Oxygen
  • Calcium
  • Phosphorus
  • Boron
  • Silicon
Boron and silicon mostly found in plants where as other six elements founds in animals.

BIOMOLECULES
  • Carbohydrates
  • Lipids
  • Proteins
  • Nucleic Acids

 Foundation of an organism

Cell is a fundamental unit of life or an organism

Cellular Foundation ( पेशींची रचना )- A cell is made up of organelles like- Nucleus, Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER), Ribosomes, Mitochondria, Cytoplasm, Chloroplast, Golgi Apparatus, Vacuoles and Cell wall (in plants) & cell membrane (in animals).

Generally cells are of two types:
Prokaryotic cells (Unicellular microorganism e.g., Bacteria)
Eukaryotic cells (Multicellular organisms e.g., plants and animals)
